On July 1st, Chris made a visit to Warwickshire College to talk to students their about their concerns and interests He was first given an introduction to the college by Principal Ioan Morgan, who told him it had received an Outstanding verdict in its inspection earlier this year. Mr Morgan also told him how the college had used an American system to value its education, which found it put £125 million a year into the Warwickshire econony. Chris then spent an hour talking with young people from the Leamington Centre’s Student Association and other students who are taking an E2E (Entry to Employment) programme, who are not sure of their career direction and want a fresh chance Chris told the students that he had studied engineering at a further education college then went to university after that. He said he wanted to know, as students, whether politics was interesting to them or turned them off, and what issues interested them – such as employment, crime, business, interest rates, the price of petrol and crime.
After the meeting, Chris toured the college, and said: "It’s quite inspiring to hear some of the stories and how college can genuinely change some lives."
