This morning Chris White, Conservative Parliamentary Candidate, talked to people in Hampton Magna about their local and national concerns - and to get an update on the effects of extra community policing for the village. Earlier this year local Budbrooke councillor, Clare Sawdon, requested extra police patrols in Hampton Magna after many residents voiced their concerns to her about crime and anti-social behaviour.
Chris said: "Many people we spoke to said that the extra patrols have made a really noticeable difference, and that the police have been very helpful in responding to local residents' concerns. Our police officers do a marvellous job - and I want to see them able to spend less time at their desks, and more time on the beat. As the Hampton Magna example has shown - police visibility is crucial in the fight against crime and anti-social behaviour."
