At tonight’s Council meeting Chris White, Conservative Parliamentary Candidate for Warwick and Leamington, endorsed a motion expressing grave concern over the proposal in the County Council’s Fire Service Review Plan to close Warwick Fire Station.

He also called for the Council to write to Warwick and Leamington’s MP to request that he urges the government, on behalf of the residents of the District, to release the County from the financial pressure which requires them to consider the closure of any Fire Station within this District which might reduce the safety of its residents.

Following the meeting Chris said: “Our firemen display courage, dedication and commitment every day of their lives – it’s important that everyone in the community shows their support for our Fire Station.”
