"Since I became the Conservative Parliamentary Candidate for Warwick and Leamington, I have had the privilege of meeting a large number of you - at our street stalls, surgeries and as I knock on doors asking for your views on the issues that matter to you.
This season is a time for us to reflect on what is happing around us. We think about people less fortunate than ourselves, both young and old, and those people who are separated from their loved ones at this special time of the year. A special thought goes out to our brave men and women serving in the armed forces overseas, and those working in our emergency services closer to home. These people should know that they have our full support and admiration for the vital work that they do.
As a Conservative I believe that I am here to listen and to serve our community to the best of my ability, both as a local councillor and as your Parliamentary Candidate. I hope to meet many more of you, and continue to listen, throughout 2008.
May I take this opportunity to wish you a prosperous, healthy and happy New Year."
