Chris White, Conservative Parliamentary Candidate for Warwick and Leamington, today talked to Whitnash residents about their concerns in and around the Franklin Road area.

After spending a few hours chatting door-to-door, Chris said: "The top issue that people have been raising is crime and anti-social behaviour.   I find it appalling that in 2008 we have elderly people living in our towns who are afraid to go out after dark - something has to be done.  The police do an excellent job but they need to be freed up by Whitehall to do what they joined the force to do - patrol the streets and protect the public.  I also believe more emphasis needs to be placed on rehabilitation of offenders to put an end to the vicious cycle of crime."
